Working with Mt Sinai

Mt Sinai – The Many Faces of Traumatic Brain Injury: Its mission is to provide basic information about traumatic brain injury. You need to find the person or organization in your area to help you. The battle should not be done all on your own. If you’re here, I know you are ready to take the next step to recovery. Reach out to me, I am happy to give a helping hand.

Make positive steps in the right direction

Find an activity

No matter what it is, find an activity to help you de-stress. Get your mind off of all the problems you’re encountering and focus only on the right now. My hobby is gardening and walking.
In 2000 I was an FIH Field Hockey Medical Officer/Representative at the Olympics in Australia. My goal was not to make my TBI hinder me.

I spent many days in bed before I found my recovery and I put it all in a book. “The Road Back” will help!

She nearly died…She suffered severe brain damage and multiple fractures… She endured ten operations over two years…But she had been trained to be a medical doctor, now could she survive….Valuable and recommended reading for lay persons and professionals alike. This book makes one appreciate the other side of individuals who are ill.

As far as we may have bone, there is always a road back possible. But few persons find the necessary faith, hope, determination and courage to take it. If ever involved, let us remember how Kathleen showed the way and let us try to reach the finish of the road back as she did.

President of Honor, International Field Hockey Federation

I know Dr. Kathleen Watson -Kathleen from Field Hockey a strong confidence administrator. This book is a must read for all, it is emotional, thought provoking and showed the resilience of Kathleen- the person.
This experience of Kathleen’s is a level of irony that can only be explained by accepting that their is a higher power than us. Excellent reading for all. Mcrousseau63@hotmail.com
